Your title costs you the most points.
Every point comes from a written check.
No mystery grade. Each check has a rule and a number of points, and your results show which ones you lost.
Title checker (20 points)
Amazon’s product title requirements say titles must not exceed 75 characters, including spaces (media products are exempt). The same page bans promo phrases, characters like ! $ ? and any word used more than twice. We check all of that, plus whether your title starts with your brand.
Images (30 points)
Amazon’s image guide asks for a pure-white main background (RGB 255, 255, 255) and a product that fills 85% of the image. We measure both from the pixels. We also check zoom size (Amazon’s guide says 1,000 px on the longest side enables zoom; we give full points at 1,600 px), which of 4 key image types your gallery has (a benefit infographic, the product in use, size and dimensions, and a close-up detail), and whether the text on your images reads at phone size.
Keywords (20 points)
We pull the top search phrases for your product, with their estimated monthly searches. Then we check how much of that demand your title, Item Highlights and bullets cover, and whether your top 3 phrases are in the title.
Bullets (20 points)
Five bullets, each 100 to 250 characters: enough to say something, short enough to read on a phone. We flag HTML, links, emoji, long runs of capitals, repeated words and claim words like “eco-friendly” or “antibacterial”.
Item Highlights + description (10 points)
Item Highlights are the short line under your title. Amazon gives them up to 125 characters. We check that, and whether you have A+ content or a full description.
What the audit can’t see, so we don’t score it.
- Backend search terms. They’re private, in your Seller Central account.
- Sales, conversion, ads and reviews. We can’t see that data.
- A+ content quality. We only see whether it’s there.
- Whether your images persuade. We check which types you have and whether their text reads on a phone.
If a check can’t run on your listing, we tell you, rather than guess.
A score out of 100, and what it means.
Your points across the five areas add up to a score out of 100. Then you get a band:
Strong 80 to 100 · Needs work 50 to 79 · At risk 0 to 49
Only listings that pass nearly every check reach Strong.
If a check can’t run, for example when search data is unavailable or an image can’t be read, we mark it “not checked”, score you on the checks that did run, and scale to 100. The results page says so. Your answers to our questions never change your score.
What you’ll see in your report
- Your score out of 100, with its band.
- How each section is doing: images, keywords, title, bullets, and Item Highlights + description, each marked Strong, Needs work or At risk.
- Every check, with what we measured on your listing and the rule behind it.
- Your search-demand coverage: how much of the monthly searches for your top search phrases your copy covers.
- Your 3 biggest fixes, and why each one matters.
This is a made-up example listing, the same one as the example score card above. It is not a real seller’s result.
58 out of 100 · Needs work
- Title length. The title is 95 characters. Amazon’s title requirements allow 75 or fewer.
- Bullet readability. The bullets have 3 readability issues: a run of capitals, an emoji and a link.
- Text readable on a phone. 3 of the 4 gallery images with text have words too small to read on a phone.

Questions about the free audit.
Is the Amazon listing audit really free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it’s free, and there’s no account or login. We ask for your email so we can send you your score and results, plus a few follow-ups about this listing. Unsubscribe in one tap anytime. We never sell or share your address.
Do you need Seller Central access?
No. The audit reads your public listing page. We never log in to Seller Central or change your live listing.
What does the audit check?
Your title, images, keywords, bullets, Item Highlights and description, using your public listing page, your gallery images and Amazon search data from DataForSEO. Every check and every point is on the How we score page.
Can you check my backend search terms?
No. Backend search terms are private: only you can see them, in Seller Central. So the audit doesn’t score them. You can check them yourself with the list below.
Where does the search volume data come from?
DataForSEO, a keyword data provider. The numbers are estimated monthly searches on Amazon US. They are estimates, not Amazon’s own numbers.
Which marketplaces work?
Amazon.com listings in English, for now.
What if you can't read my listing?
You can paste your title and bullets and upload your main photo instead. We score what you paste.
Will fixing my score increase sales?
We don't promise that. We fix things we can measure against Amazon's rules and search data. We can't see your sales, so we don't claim to change them.
